Divisions and Groups

There are divisions and local groups across the British Region. Meet new friends, learn and contribute to a large layout even if you have limited space. Some groups have members who build and operate Freemo modules and get together to run large layouts.

Derby Convention

Annual Convention

Time to catch up with other members and make new friends from across the UK to share experiences and enjoy the exhibition of models and layouts and to participate in clinics. A separate Registration Fee is payable to attend.

Benson Winter Meet

One Day Regional Meets

Held during the year give opportunities for discussion and to see and run your own trains on exhibition layouts, participate in competitions, learn new techniques from clinics, buy and sell at trade/swap stalls and, most importantly, meet and make new friends.

If I had never learned from other modellers and tried out new things, my modelling would not have improved and I would never be a Master Model Railroader®

MORE REASONS TO BE AN NMRA MEMBER

NMRA Modelling Challenge

The model railway organisation that rewards members for modelling excellence

The NMRA  Achievement Program gives you the opportunity to collect awards in many different categories while giving you the opportunity to have your models assessed by experienced modellers who are always willing to provide the encouragement and advice you need.

The NMRA aims to help modellers develop new skills to further improve their modelling abilities.

AP Program

NMRA Achievement Program

The only railway organisation in the world to reward members for excellence in model railroading.

An NMRA member qualifies as a Master Model Railroader® with the designation of MMR® when he or she has obtained at least seven of the eleven available Achievement Certificates in each of the four areas of the requirements.
