NEW FOR 2008!! Micro layouts
Sponsored by LSWR ModelsAn exciting new concept for 2008! Members are invited to enter 'Micro layouts' into a popular vote contest. 'Micro layouts' are any self-contained layout with a maximum size of 4ft x 3ft (there is no minimum size!), fully scenicked and operational. Don't forget the word is 'MICRO', the smaller and more unusual the better, in any scale.
The layout should include all operating features, so no extra tag-on fiddle yards. It should also be born in mind that the layouts will be placed on 6ft x 2ft tables (unless they are self-standing), so this restriction will indicate what is practicable and to this end a length of no longer then 4ft will be the maximum. Another constraint is that the time to set up and get running should be no longer than 15 minutes after arriving in the room and booking in.
Download a Micro layout booking form here. The time table for the Micro layout competition is from 10am til 4pm on Saturday 1st Nov. There will be prizes for the first three places of £20, £10 & £5, which have been donated by LSWR Models (Penguin). Voting is by popular vote by the membership on the day!
