Re: Bruce Chubb Articles in RMC

something has changed on the RMC website it seems.
Previously I could download issues (I'm also a digital subscriber) but now I can only read them online and not retain a copy in PDF format (Except download to iPad, but not sure how to retrieve the files from there...).

Re: Velocipede NEW Newsletter

A new Velocipede newsletter is now available for those interested. I have not yet created a dedicated newsletter location for this topic on the website. Would like to know what the BOD's view on that is, as although it's Railroading, and it is unique, it is not something we generally see done, and n...

Re: Working on the Sunset and North Eastern - the Foam core goes down

Looking forward to see how this is progressing so keep on posting.

Where did you source your foam core btw as it seems to be hard to get nowadays here in the UK.

Thanks!

Re: Winter Challenge 2016 Koos Fockens work on the layout

Well the final night of the Challenge is upon us. I failed miserably this time completing mine. This is due to having too many other things going on both inside and outside the model railroad hobby. I won't bore you with the stuff that distracted me outside our hobby, but inside the hobby, I strippe...

Re: Winter Challenge 2016 Koos Fockens work on the layout

I know I know, it's been rather quiet on my progress updates, but I have managed to quietly do more work. There have been a few interuptions due to work travel, but here's where things are as of this moment: The yard ladder has been laid and toroise motors fitted to all turnouts here, but they still...

Velocipede

Member Jacqui Thomas has recently forwarded me a newsletter with all about Velocipedes etc. Not quite sure where to post it on the website, I thought at least a post on the forum with a link to the file is easiest to do. Hope it is of interest: http://www.nmrabr.org.uk/downloads/NEWSLETTERS/Velocipe...

Re: Winter Challenge 2016 Koos Fockens work on the layout

A little bit more progress. I've now got some power to the new trackage and just playing around with spacing and depot placement, none of this is set in stone as yet. https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/741/32373190035_2b514507b2_c.jpg New Yard by Koos , on Flickr As you can see there is still a lot to ti...

Narrow Gauge and Shoreline Gazette

Bob Brown, editor of the Gazette for over 40 years, said "Irene and I are now in our mid-80s and are concerned about the magazine's future. We are both healthy, and still want to produce the Gazette. We also owe magazines to a lot of subscribers, and we want to see the Gazette continue, so WRP ...

Thanks Mike,

another few useful ones indeed, highlighting operations aspects of the hobby. Good for the frontpage video too.

Re: Southern Pacific GP9R

Here's SP 3784 on the layout, after I added the final details (wind deflectors, armrests, and replacement of the antenna by a hair instead of the original brass wire) and applied some weathering. More weathering to follow still.. https://c3.staticflickr.com/1/680/32020300442_8528e9ec53_c.jpg Switchi...
