Great Model Railroads - John Signor's Southern California RR

Post by tunnelmotor »

Just gone on line is one of the greatest model railroads I have ever seen, either in print, on video or up close and personal - John Signor's rendition of Southern California in HO scale. Here is a link to it: http://johnsignor.com/modelrr/

Sit back and enjoy. Subsequent pages also include some tutorials!

I visited this layout on our way to Extra 2011 West Convention in June 2011.

I like Mr. Signor's writings for their accuracy but his grasp of locomotive eras is slightly out-of-kilter: EsPee didn't take delivery of their first SD45 until August 1966 and there were no tunnel motors on the property until 1972. Still, modeller's licences are useful things to have and invoke.
I only wish I had the space, time, money and skill to produce something this good.
