Industry database?

Working from a prototype location or trying to fit a specific space? Everyone loves a good trackplan...

Industry database?

Post by Gloriousnse »

Would there be any interest if I set up a section under Layout Design on prototype industries? I'm thinking threads on certain industry types (like grain elevators, paper mills, whatever) where you'd put a link to the google/bing resources, and possibly add images if we can source suitable ones?

Yes please. Makes sense to keep a separate place for stuff like that.

Good idea, particularly smaller local industries are good to use on the average layout and module boards.

No probs, if folk can keep it in mind and lookout for bits to add that'd be great. I do come across some, but my knowledge of other bits of the US is much smaller!

Sounds like a great idea to me. That's why I joined the Ops-Ind SIG Yahoo Group. But some information in the local NMRA BR group wouldn't go amiss.
