Mainly appearance. The Peco points are robust but the track did not look right under the 2-8-0 and 4-6-0 engines, but to be honest it looks to good under the Shay's.

I've gone for a mix of Micro Engineering and Peco (Code 83 HO track) to get things running but have hand built the track in the works area using LITco code 83 point kits. I'm happy with the ME track and it runs well but in time I hope to replace it with hand built.

EDM Models, York. They have a large range of track and parts, including Micro Engineering.
