Hi Dave,

Depending on your mechanical skills, you could consider a variety of replacement motors, including Athearn, Roco, Kato , Mashima and others. Some may require milling of the frame or alternative mounting methods etc but since there are a lot of similarities in the drive trains, there could be several that fit. It's not undoable. One of these may do? Be quick however, Mashima are being discontinued as apparently their magnet source is no longer available and don't get the same quality anymore, so once these are gone, they're gone. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mashima-Can- ... 2096509708

and the KATO replacment motor kit is one of the best motors around, but you may have to order from overseas, I'm not entirely sure who stocks these here, but I guess a brick and mortar shop such as model junction could order these in too? Search for the KATO HM-5 Conversion Project Motor (without flywheels) http://search.cartserver.com/search/sea ... D&bool=AND
