Western Union August 2013 meet

Post by BrianMoore »

Some action at L J Tower, with both cords of the junction being used simultaneously at 1.48.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks, Martyn. The crossing module has really revolutionised the operations we conduct at the Western Union meets. Mike Ruby has put an immense amount of work into it, and it's mostly down to him that it exists.

In the still image as seen above, Pete Saunders is running my non-dynamic BN SD9 #6110 (it's running "forward" in long-hood-forward mode) on the left, whilst on the right, Paul Tucker is running his dynamic-braked SD9 #6128 in reverse. I noticed that both trains were about to depart from their respective locations, so I set the camera up in time for dispatcher Peter Lloyd-Jones to line the switches and give each train the yellow light that indicates permission to take the diverging routes: almost a mirror image.
