In John Wright’s April Issue article about P.87, the photo caption of the freight car wheels implied “before and after”, but in fact both sets are P.87, one set of NWSL and one of Alan Gibson production.

...found Model Railroader stocked in a branch of Martin’s Newsagents and suggests that interested members urge their local branches to stock this and other American magazines. He feels if sufficient demand comes to the notice of the shop managers, a good selection might become available “off the shelf”.

...wishes to thank all members, especially those in the Eastern Division, for their kindness and support when his wife, Lydia, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She underwent two operations, five weeks apart, and thankfully the second was successful. She is responding well to the follow-up treatment, and the Carsons hope to visit Lourdes in October, and see in the Millennium with Lydia’s family in the Philippines.

“Having built and operated a layout constructed to modular standards I’d like to add some thoughts to Paul Doggett’s request for feedback in the April 1999 Roundhouse.
Westmorland Enginehouse has been on the exhibition circuit for some eighteen months now and has given us time to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various aspects of the modular system. When the layout was first planned we were full of ideas of linking with other groups to make the theoretical mega- layout..... well that’s how the ‘sales talk’ seemed to go at the time. Of course, it

When Ginter is complete and possibly Newmarket integrated into the Lost Mountain Railroad I am proposing to hold an ‘at home’. This will give members a chance to operate the Lost Mountain Railroad including track rights for their own stock. I hope to have the ‘at home’ in the late Autumn or early winter - date to be advised later.
