Will all Division leaders please keep me informed of forthcoming meets so that ROUNDHOUSE can publicise them.
 Held at Brunel University, Egham,
on Saturday 27th. March 1999.
Present: Mike Spray (President), Paul Atkinson (Past President), Len Firth (Treasurer), Steve Park (Secretary), and Vernon Stone, Ted Smale, John Firth, Tom Winlow, Martin Boyask, John Hey, Geoff Bishop, Bill Hutchings, Les Herriot, Jim Burghall, Robert Sharp, Lindsay Beare, Tom Watson, Chris White, David Broomfield, Mike Arnold, Mike Kenefeck, Chris Jackson, Geoff Poulton, Calvin Everitt, Barry Bennett, Mark Sweatman, Rob Mundy, Nigel Hodgson, Keith Stewardson and John Pocknell.
1. President Mike Spray opened the meet- ing at 12.05 p.m. with a welcome to all at- tending the meeting at this new venue.
2. Apologies for Absence were received from Geoff Meek (Vice President), Jym Phillips, Ellis James-Robertson, Norman Carey, Rod Welch, Peter Thompson, Rod Pickering, Ian Wilson and Jim McCulloch.
3. The Minutes of the previous meeting, the AGM at Bournemouth on Friday 23rd. October 1998, had been published in Roundhouse for February 1999, and copies were also available in the room. Proposed by Vernon Stone, seconded by Ted Smale, these were accepted as a true record of that meeting.
4. There were no matters arising from those minutes.
5. Mike Spray reported that the Board of Directors were in frequent contact with one another, that Region business was proceed- ing normally and that there were no out- standing problems to notify to this meeting.
6. Len Firth reported that the financial year did not end until four days later, so that a final statement could not be made. How- ever, there would be an appreciable surplus of Income over Expenditure. Excluding today’s figures, Income from Meets and Conventions was already greater than last year; against this Roundhouse had cost more. There were no questions arising.
7. Steve Park said his work currently con- cerned looking at impact on the Region from the Millennium “bug”, the introduc- tion of the Euro, the up-dating of tele- phone numbers as exchanges are renumbered (please advise changes as soon as they are known), and the introduction of the New Member Pack.
8. As Trustee, Steve said there were still problems with the mailing address labels of the Bulletin magazine. The randomness of the errors was still not explained, neither could it be ascertained if the error lay with Home Office or with the mail-forwarding company in France. However, the problem would be pursued until we had it cor- rected, and thanks were particularly due to John and Len Firth, and Vernon Stone, who were giving much time and effort to get the matter resolved. Nationally, the NMRA
