NMRA AT DERBY
Layouts:
NMRA British Region’s Special Year 2000 Presentation, in the DARWIN SUITE at the DERBY EXHIBITION, April 29th/30th, features the following ten layouts:
Nuffin
N scale by Richard Insley, 10’ x 3’, eastern USA early 1950’s.
Newton & Sierra Railway
Geoff Meek’s G scale empire, 20’ x 10’, mostly narrow gauge.
North Charleston
John Sammans’ HO modern switching layout, L-shaped 10’ x 8’.
Radstock Falls
Paul Devonald provides 15’ x 2’ 6” of modern image N scale running long trains through mountains etc.
Calder Flats
Alan Rogers’ narrow gauge all-steam Hon3 layout, 14’ x 5’ 6”.
Modular HO
The Black Diamond Division shows steam to modern diesel, overall size – 24’ x 8’.
Plateau
In its new guise as an eastern layout - N scale from John Cox.
Glendale Springs
Ian Wilson, portrays HO eastern railroading in the 1970’s.
Piedmont Lines
John Medley’s O scale 15’ x 13’ layout based on the Southern Railway, using hand-laid track.
Thorn Tree Flats (below)
The 8’ x 3’ NMRA demonstration modular switching pike, originated by Tom Winlow and built to NMRA HO Standards. Members are invited to “have a go!”
In addition to the big range of layouts, there will be Clinics fea- tured at the NMRA Stand, throughout the day, on the hour:

In addition, the programme usually sold at the show will be a special edition and given free to the public. The print run will be 10,000 and any left over will be sent to model railway clubs in the UK. NMRA (BR) is having a double page advert, which includes an application form, in this programme.

Ntrak/N scale Weekend
The sixth annual N Scale Weekend is being held at the Barton Halls Holiday Village, Torquay, from 31st. March to the 2nd. April 2000. The all in price is £83 per person, Friday dinner to Sunday lunch inclusive.

NMRA Black Diamond Full Division Meet
Dates: Saturday 27th May: 10.30am - 4.30pm
Venue: Kegworth Village Hall, Leicestershire
There will be a Full Black Diamond Division Meet at the new
venue - Kegworth Village Hall (see map in February Roundhouse)
- on Saturday May 27th from 10.30am till 4.30pm. Lots of park- ing available.
Layouts in N, HO, possibly O, plus one guest layout. Raffle, Bring & Buy, Hot Food.
