      ...Good luck!
I have just finished reading the April Roundhouse - yet again an excellent issue, full of information, tips and members’ views.
Geoff Meek’s Product Review of Bachmann’s 4-4-0 was excellent and he was obviously very impressed! It seems we have much to look forward to this year in the way of new models - an SD60 from Proto 2000 and a “Russian” from Spectrum, to mention a couple.
My thanks to all those who contribute to Roundhouse, especially our Editor, Martin Boyask, for his persistent hard work, and thanks also to Steve Park, our Region Secretary, for the minutes of the AGM held at the Convention in Peterborough.
I’m sorry to say our valued member and past President Les Herriot has resigned from his post as Contest Chairman, to take effect after this year’s Bradford

Convention. I am sure members will join me in thanking Les for his considerable input to the Region over many years.
That well-known character John Hey, our Publicity Officer, wishes to stand down in the not too distant future, and again I am sure the membership will join me in thanking Big John for what he has done for us and for the laughter he has given us at Raffle time during Region meets - this, I understand, will not change! Do we have any volunteers for these posts?
Your Board of Directors are still deliberating about the use of the surplus funds from the last convention, and a new publicity stand, after seeing the one borrowed from Derby.
Finally, we still do not have a bid for the 2001 Convention - time is drawing on, and we really do need to get things moving on that event.
