The following layouts will be displayed in the NMRA room at the 2002 Derby Show:
HO: Plains Division by Mike Scott. Phase 1 of an eventual 5 phase layout. This shows the interchange yard and important industries served by several railroads.
HO: Young St. Yard. British Region’s London Division. A busy water-side industrial complex. With car ferry and staging this layout keeps very busy.
HO: Deer Creek. Andrew Wick’s first attempt at an exhibition layout, based on 1940/50’s logging. Finely detailed scratch built structures will amaze you.
HO: Hill St. Chicago. Neale Burrows’ industrial switching pike shows how easy it is to use DCC on an exhibition layout, with all switches and locos controlled from one hand-held controller. HO: Kiowa Bay. Something new from Roger Nicholls always creates interest. This STEAM layout is a first for Roger and you
know you have to see it!
HO/HOn3: Wolf Creek RR by David Bush is L shaped dual gauge on which you will see fine laser cut wood buildings and scrtach building, with great locos and stock.
G: Newton & Sierra RR by Geoff Meek is mostly narrow gauge but you can see just about anything on this layout from beautifully detailed locos to straight-out-of-the-box power.
N: Elk River Crossing. John Cox shows what can be done in an 8’ x 2’ space, which includes a division point with a branch. Your chance to see post GN/BN or post BN/ATSF at work.
N: Dove Valley Mills. Jim & Andy Dickinson and the Black Diamond N Scale Group. Part of probably the largest N scale layout in England – shows the workings of a large paper mill, along with a large fiddle yard. Long trains, plenty of switching. TRADE: M. G. Sharp Models; Steam Powered Video;
