After a long discussion on the matter the BOD advised they cannot enforce when the AGM is held as it is up to the convention organisers, and after all it was Sunday morning originally. A show of hands of those attending who were day visitors was requested by the Kegworth convention committee, and they will discuss the matter between themselves and post the time of the AGM in Roundhouse.

D Minnion – can the AGM be in an adequately large room, as last year it was too small and therefore became too hot? The organising committee noted the point.
Terry Lee advised that there had been no mention of the 2009 convention, and the BOD confirmed that the bid had been received and accepted as Swindon as has been noted in RH – Nobby confirmed.
The BOD confirmed that they do need to see formal proposals for any future conventions, and it was suggested that discussions on possibilities for 2010 were started.
Terry Wynne asked about the CN Bell at Bressingham – he wanted to know what was happening. He felt it would be best placed at Crewe. BOD to put in a future agenda to re-assess and update the membership in due course.
Terry Wynne – please can BOD arrange with themselves to attend meets throughout the year, as they can only be seen at the top table at AGMs. He felt is was an embarrassment at Crewe, as there was no BOD member to formally welcome local dignitaries, and BOD have said that at local levels they will be at meets to discuss any local problems.
Tim replied with timing issue of Nobby, Chris had a long-standing agreement that he would go and BOD only had one week’s notice; he was not now going as he had resigned.
Terry voiced concern over lack of replies from CH to invites for inaugural opening and other things.

Terry Wynne on competitions – he was disappointed in the number of entries, and at the clinic that had been given by him and Steve Park he would have liked to see more people there as well. To promote AP more, this year reinstate the judging clinics, can some future meet organisers arrange an informal session for judging practice and AP entrants can come along to be judged for that.
