This Group meets at members’ homes on a regular basis to view and run members’ layouts and to hold clinics. The next three meets are as follows: Sat 13 Feb, the home of Dave Griffiths in Hastings with running on his layout plus the annual meeting of members; and Sat 12 March, the home of Mike Arnold in Crowborough with running plus a discussion on operating with card cards and waybills. Then Sat 23 April, the home of Andrew Browne in Strood operating his layouts. More similar meets will be planned during the coming months. Surrey Group
This Group also meets in members’ homes every two months or so to run members’ layouts, test out locos on a DCC programming track and just shoot the breeze. SW&N (SWANS)
Stanwell, Windsor & Northolt
This group currently has a membership of eight and includes Keith Webb, Tom Watson, Ant Quinlan, Lindsay Beare, Nick Prior, Mick Carr and Charles Hendy, all NMRA (BR) members, plus Graeme Wheeler. Most of us have active layouts, ranging from N to G scale, and we meet in members’ homes once a month, on rotation, to run trains and enjoy a meal together. Experience has shown that eight is the maximum number that our wives will cater for (or that can be accommodated around a dining table); hence our inability to accept new members at this time. Western Union holds HO-modular meets each month at 1st Crownhill Scout Group, Dayton Close, Plymouth PL6 5DX. Access from 8 am onwards. If you wish to take part in the operational and running side of things, you are required to be at the hall by 8.30 am latest, to lend a hand in carrying- in, erecting and wiring up (or other helpful stuff within your capabilities) and to remain to dismantle and store the modules at the
