Improving a Proto 2000 Diesel Koos Fockens
Under the hood I installed a Loksound Select decoder, SMD headlight LEDs with fibre optic lenses, a sugar cube speaker and I replaced the axles with new replacements by Walthers, as some of the originals had suffered the 'cracked axle gear' syndrome.
Starting out with an old Lifelike Proto 2000 GP9 in black widow paint, I stripped the original shell, made some modifications and added detail parts, and painted it in the 'famous' Kodachrome paint scheme, using Vallejo acrylic paints.
