Social distancing and self isolating
As we are all experiencing this new way of life and adjusting to it, on 25th April I gave a clinic on “How to Weather a Locomotive in 5 Minutes” on the first ever NMRA-X Virtual Facebook Convention organised and coordinated by Gordy Robinson from his home in Orkney with 25 contributors delivering 24 hours of live clinics, layout tours and presentations broadcast via Facebook Live to the world. Rob Clark also presented his clinic on “Is Model Railroading Art?”. NMRA-X could be a regular feature as this type of presentation fulfills the NMRA mission of promoting model railroading to everyone globally.
Don’t forget about the Square Foot Modelling Challenge 2020 see page 29 for details and The Model Tree Shop products on page 21 that must be included on the entry. Good Luck...!

St. Louis 2020 National Convention and National Train Show cancelled
The NMRA National convention, Gateway 2020, was scheduled to start on July 12, 2020, in St. Louis, Missouri.That being said, the local host group has determined that they can no longer continue with the preparations and operation of the convention.
