Eastern Division
Mike Arnold has organised an informal first meeting for the Thameside Sub. of the Eastern Division. (Letters have al- ready been dispatched to local mem- bers). He has booked a small bar in the CricketersPub,LondonRd.,(A13) West- cliffe on Sea, Essex for Saturday April 8th. This is mainly a discussion to find out what members would like from their area organisation but also you can bring models for sale, photos of US holidays to show etc etc.
Please let Mike know if you can attend. 01702-584081. Bear in mind that though the NMRA has exclusive use of the bar, it is in a public place.
Southern Seaboard
Our “Open Day” at Three Bridges (map below) on 13th May is now confirmed; as well as the Grand Junction and Silver City we hope to have two small visiting switching layouts, and sales stands from Terry Page and John Bloom.
The idea is to make it just NMRA mem- bers and their guests (especially poten- tial members) partly because of insurance and mainly because of the hall capacity. This is not a formal Divisional meet in the true NMRA sense of the word but it would be nice to try to get those members who we know are out there but don’t come along to Fridays, and some of our more experienced neighbours. If we get good support then we will try some- thing bigger next year.
